School Of Beats creates and delivers custom STEAM based electronic music educational curriculums for After-School, Youth & Community Programs. We also offer our curriculums to individual students through our video tutorials on the Teachable educational platform.

Our digital music curriculums for individuals are a one of a kind opportunity for students to learn the math, science and art behind DJing and music production. The curriculums encompasses professional level DJ skills and music production skills delivered through a video tutorial library. We even include a library of special DJ edits of popular billboard hits from all genres past and present to keep students engaged.

We offer these curriculums to youth organizations, public and private schools for teachers and front line education workers to deliver in-person or via remote learning. The "trainer on trainer" curriculums include live zoom training for staff, music library, teaching presentations, online tutorials videos, customized DJ equipment (SB101-SB301) and remote tech support.

iDJ101 is a self-paced video curriculum designed to teach students the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics of DJing. The curriculum is designed for use with iPad but can also be used with Windows and Mac computers. The curriculum comes with library of DJ ready music called “DJ Edits” that allow the student to follow along with the curriculum and also practice on their own. The curriculum also teaches students how to get additional music to use with the software. 

School Of Beats strives to bring its students music education within a format that is current, hip and cool. We use music that kids know and love to increase engagement and get them excited about music education. The performance component develops self-confidence and provides a social outlet for kids to collaborate on performances and mashup projects. 

In iGB101 we take you through the entire song creating process, starting with the exciting “Live Loops” clip launching environment, designed to introduce the structure of music making in a fun and informative way. You will learn how to navigate “The Grid” in order to remix your favorite songs and well as add your own musical elements in real time. 

This leads Perfectly into the “Tracks” musical idea creation environment. Here you will learn to create your own sounds using the built-in keyboard and instrument modules. 

Finally taking everything you’ve learned so far you will record your Live Loop performance, record your own song composition and share it via email, messenger or your favorite social media sites.
